Introduction

Problem

In the world of custom home building, the sky is literally the limit. For sliding and pocket doors, it's important to have versatile hardware to be able to meet a builder's needs when building someone's custom dream home. When Gozzer Ranch called for extremely tall and thick pocket doors - it was clear that custom pockets were needed to be built for this challenge. Edwards Smith Construction was up to the task and knew exactly where to source track hardware they could trust.

The Solution

The CS CaviTrack is a smooth-running low track system that can be used in a wide variety of door openings, such as, pocket, barn, partition, and multi sliding applications. It is excellent for custom projects as it can be used with custom stud sizes and openings that are over 10' tall. For builders who love to include custom-made doors into their builds, the CS CaviTrack can accommodate doors that are over 4' wide and thicker than the standard 1-3/4".

The reliability of this track system goes beyond just the track itself. The carriages that attach to the door have large diameter wheels with precision ground bearings to ensure smooth running. The self-centering hanger bolt ensures the door hangs plumb while the carriage's wheels are made from high-performance nylon tires that ensure longevity. The hanger pin itself can be adjusted up to 5/16" vertically, allowing for custom door clearances.

Case Study: Gozzer Ranch

Max Martin, Edwards Smith Construction's Finish Carpentry Superintendent (also known as the Interior Finish Wizard 🧙‍♂️), has been with Edwards Smith Construction for over 26 years and is responsible for trim design and material takeoffs. In a recent project at Gozzer Ranch in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Max showed Margot Scheltens, Northern Pacific Regional Sales Manager, and her rep Mike Garcia with EZ Sales Company around the job site and shared why he made the switch to the CS CaviTrack in his projects, "When Cavity Sliders came along, I saw the quality difference--twice as thick tracks, the ball bearings in the rollers are phenomenal, it was an easy switch over to Cavity Sliders."
